Aerial & sky Services

Aerial and Sky Services have been in the satellite and aerial business for over 30 years, with Andrew Fairhurst having started out aged 16 as an audio bench engineer with Ron Leigh Audio Visual Ltd. There, he developed a special interest in signalling, taking on responsibility for aerial and satellite services.

To back up his extensive on-the-job experience, Andrew holds a full range of qualifications, including Technician Education Council (TEC) Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in TV and audio theory and servicing (through the Wigan College of Technology), plus a Level 2 NVQ in Electrical & Electronic Servicing (Signal Reception), at the Manchester College (and certified by the University of Manchester). The latter qualification includes seven modules, all of which are evidence of Andrew’s competence in the field:

  • Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements

  • Contributing to positive working relationships

  • Installing signal reception equipment in customers’ premises

  • Familiarising customers with the use of products

  • Working safely at heights with antennae

  • Diagnosing faults in signal reception systems

  • Replacing modules in signal reception systems

Our Approach

Offering services to both domestic and commercial customers, we cover the Leigh, Wigan, Chorley and Greater Manchester areas. We aim to offer excellent value for money to all our customers, and specialise in providing an outstandingly tidy service, doing our very best to conceal cables (for example, running them behind guttering) and choosing and siting external fixtures that don’t detract from the appearance of your property.

Assurance

Aerial and Sky Services are registered with the RDI-LB, the official licensing body for digital installers. To become licensed, installers must achieve the body’s minimum qualification requirements and provide updated details every year.

Using a licensed installer gives you the peace of mind of knowing they are both skilled and qualified to make digital TV reception installations, they are certified to work safely at heights, and they carry a minimum of £2million public liability insurance and have undergone a criminal record check within the past 24 months.
